Dog Freed From Inside Recliner With Jaws Of Life: Joppa-Magnolia VFC

JOPPATOWNE, MD — A Harford County resident's pet dog became so trapped in the family's recliner Labor Day weekend that emergency workers had to help retrieve him.

The Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company was called to the home where they found the rescue dog, a terrier, stuck deep inside the recliner. Firefighters had to use the Jaws of Life to free him.

Once the dog, named Highway, was unstuck from the chair, Harford County Department of Emergency Services Medic 81 drove him to an emergency vet for treatment, the fire company stated.
