The Harford County Health Department explains what counts as possible exposure and urges residents to secure homes against wildlife as rabies cases rise across the county and state.

Belair Road crash leaves one in critical condition (nottinghammd.com) — A serious crash on the 1500 block of Bel Air Road left at least one person in critical condition and briefly shut down the area Monday morning. Fallston and Bel Air fire crews, plus state police and a medevac helicopter, responded while motorists were urged to avoid the scene as investigators from the Bel Air Barrack gathered details.

Harford County's 'Hello Harford' tourism campaign earns national recognition for data-driven approach (wmar2news.com) — Harford County's "Hello Harford" tourism campaign, based in Bel Air, has earned a national award for its data‑driven approach to attracting visitors. By tracking where people come from and how long they stay at events like those at Ripken Stadium, the county is helping local businesses refine marketing, boost spending, and improve experiences that benefit Bel Air and surrounding communities.
   

4. Over $210K jackpot of lottery winnings hit in Howard County (foxbaltimore.com) — A Bel Air player is among several Marylanders who recently scored $50,000 lottery prizes, part of more than $30 million in winnings statewide during the week of September 7–13.
