A combined Completion Ceremony for Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Dental Assistant and Paramedic program completers was held on September 10 in the Chesapeake Welcome Center on the Harford Community College campus. There were seven CNA program completers, six Dental Assistant program completers plus two taking radiography only, and 16 Paramedic program completers.
The event was hosted by the College's Division of Nursing and Allied Health Professions with Renee Michalkiewicz, Director of Allied Health Professions, and Dr. Ashley Meisel, Dean of Nursing and Allied Health Professions.
The ceremony opened with welcome and congratulatory remarks from Mrs. Michalkiewicz, Dr. Meisel, and Dr. Julie Alexander, Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs. "Tonight, we are here to celebrate our students who are completing the Certified Nursing Assistant, Dental Assistant and Paramedic programs. They have worked diligently to complete their training over the past several months," stated Michalkiewicz.
The CNA student speaker for the ceremony was Sofia Bhat, and Che' Mira Forman was the Paramedic student speaker.
Dr. Meisel pinned the CNA students and presented their certificates. The CNA students who were pinned during the ceremony included Sofia Bhat and Susan Mort. The Dental Assistant completer who received a certificate at the ceremony was Mikayla Woodward (Radiography). Paramedic Program completers who received certificates at the event included Che' Mira Forman and Beth Piatelli.
