DARLINGTON, MD — Apples, homemade treats, handcrafted goods and plenty of fun awaits families Saturday when the annual Darlington Apple Festival returns to Harford County.
The festival will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., rain or shine, in downtown Darlington.
Visitors will find hundreds of vendors offering food, crafts, farm products, jewelry, home décor, baked goods, plants, artwork and more.
There also will be pit beef, sausages, crab cakes, cheesesteaks, Mediterranean food, funnel cakes, kettle corn, mini doughnuts and fresh lemonade available.
Families can enjoy pumpkin painting with the Darlington PTA, pony rides near the stage, face painting, balloon twisting and other activities. The festival also includes booths from local churches, nonprofits, rescue groups, first responders and community organizations.
A T-shirt quilt will be raffled off that features T-shirt design winners from the past years. Local resident Bonnie White made the quilt.
Anyone entering the apple pie contest should drop off their edible entry to festival headquarters from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
Event organizers recommend guests download the Let's Rallie app to make the most of their visit to the Darlington Apple Festival. Information also can be found on the festival's Facebook page.
