​Amy Marie Emery, 34, of Joppatowne

Amy Marie Emery, of Joppatowne, died at the age of 34 on August 5, 2016 at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C.

She was born in Baltimore, MD to Roxanna (Hoffmaster) Valenza and is the stepdaughter of the late Ricci Anthony Valenza.

She was employed as a pharmacy technician and loved to crochet and make crafts.

She is survived by her mother and son, Mason Ricci Cook.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101.

Visitation is 2–4 and 7–9 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 11, at McComas Funeral Home, 1317 Cokesbury Road in Abingdon, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 12.

Burial will be at Lake View Memorial Park, 2724 Liberty Rd., Sykesville.
