Anchor Missing in Bel Air Plaza, Six Months Later
What should go where Mars used to be?
It’s been six months since the Bel Air Mars closed its doors, and the storefront continues to await transformation as a new store takes its place.
At 45,000 square feet, the storefront is the largest in the Bel Air Plaza, according to MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services, which is in charge of leasing the space. Hill Management handles operations at the plaza.
Bel Air Patch reached out to both Hill and MacKenzie for an update on the old Mars space; however, no information was immediately available.

Bel Air Patch asked readers this month to name a business they would like to see that isn’t in town, and the most responses we received by far were for grocery stores Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods.
“Whole Foods would fit in just perfectly in the old Mars on Baltimore Pike!!” one person said on our Facebook page.
“I think Trader Joe would make a killin’ in Bel Air at the old SuperFresh/Mars location!” another said.
