Apartment Above Garage Catches On Fire, MD Fire Marshal Investigating $200K Blaze

BEL AIR, MD — An apartment above a garage in Bel Air caught on fire Monday shortly before 4 p.m.

Thirty-five firefighters responded to the call about a fire, which took half an hour to control. Investigators believe the fire started on an outside deck.

Located at 2209 Lyns Court, the structure sustained an estimated $200,000 in damage. The case remains under investigation, according to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
