Aberdeen Apartment Fire Under Investigation Traced To Bathroom: Official

An Aberdeen apartment fire appears to have started in the bathroom, officials say. The fire is under investigation.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — A fire broke out Sunday night in a one-story detached apartment with a garage, causing $10,000 in damage.

Firefighters with the Aberdeen Fire Department were called to the property at 752 Schofield Ave. in Aberdeen shortly before 7 p.m. It took the 20 firefighters around 20 minutes to extinguish the fire, which was found by a resident in the bathroom.

According to the Office of the State Fire Marshal, the fire remains under investigation.
