April 1 Deadline for Entrepreneurs to Pitch Ideas for Shark Tank Susquehanna

Harford and Cecil County entrepreneurs will pitch their business plans to the "sharks" during the 2nd annual Shark Tank Susquehanna.

Join the fun and watch as hopeful Harford and Cecil County entrepreneurs pitch their business plans to the “sharks” during the 2nd annual Shark Tank Susquehanna, presented by America’s Small Business Development Center on Thursday, April 21 from 6 to 9 PM in the Lecture Hall of Towson University, Northeastern Maryland (510 Thomas Run Road, Bel Air, MD). In conjunction with the event, a networking happy hour featuring beer, wine, and hors d’oeuvres will be included.

Small businesses and entrepreneurs interested in pitching ideas should visit www.marylandsbdc.org/northern, and contact Ryan Del Gallo at 443-373-3377 with questions. Shark Tank Susquehanna is loosely based on the TV show Shark Tank, where investors meet with people who need funding to support their business ideas and help them achieve the American dream. In the TV show, people pitch their ideas and the “sharks” decide whether or not they want to invest in business deals.

Local business leaders including Chris Stone, Co-Founder, E-Moxie; John Casner, Executive Director, Northern Maryland Technology Counsel; Ed Radj, Founder and Investor, Total Equity Capital; Sheryl Davis-Kohl, Founder, Beacon Staffing Alternatives; and Heather Lufburrow, CEO, Lufburrow & Company, will serve as the “sharks.” The reward is a cash prize and business development services sponsored by Harford Business Edge and America’s SBDC to help fund the entrepreneur’s business.

Tickets for Shark Tank Susquehanna are $30 in advance and $40 at the door which includes the networking happy hour (Photo I.D. Required for Alcohol). Funds raised through ticket sales will benefit the America’s Small Business Development Center in order to continue to provide no-cost business consulting to local entrepreneurs and small business owners.
