Arctic Blast Set to Deliver -17 Wind Chills to Bel Air
Wind chill advisory sets in at midnight, lasts through Friday.

A wind chill advisory is in effect from midnight Thursday until noon Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
Areas affected include Carroll, Baltimore and Harford counties plus Baltimore City.

- Wednesday night: Actual temps in single digits; wind chill 0–10 degrees. Winds will be 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
- Thursday: Actual temps from mid to upper teens during day. Wind chill -17 degrees. Winds from 15 to 29 mph.
- Friday: Actual temps in mid to upper teens. Wind chills as low as -17. Winds from 10 to 17 mph, gusts up to 24 mph.

Safety Tips
- Wear a hat and gloves if going outside.
- Check on elderly neighbors, relatives, and friends to be sure they are warm and safe.
- If using an electric space heater, make sure it is well away from flammable objects and that it has a safety switch to turn off if it gets too hot or tips over.
- Bring pets indoors.
