Edgewood Armed Robbery Suspects Face Charges After Chase: Harford Sheriff
Two Baltimore men who officers suspect in an armed robbery also fled the scene of the crime, said the Harford County Sheriff's Office.
EDGEWOOD, MD — Two Baltimore men have been arrested in connection to an armed robbery that happened around 8 a.m. Jan. 6 at the Mystic Mart located in the 1700 block of Hanson Road in Edgewood.
A Harford County sheriff's deputy tried to stop a white Volkswagen sedan traveling at a high rate of speed in the area of Route 152 and I-95. The driver refused to stop and the deputy started a pursuit. The deputy also notified dispatch that the vehicle contained two men wearing face masks. The pursuit ended safely with the Volkswagen stopping in the area of Edgewood Road and Emmorton Park Road, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office.
While pursuing the vehicle, deputies were notified that an armed robbery had just happened at the Mystic Mart. The suspects pulled out a handgun during the robbery and took off with an undisclosed amount of money and a black iPhone. The description of the suspects' vehicle matched the one involved in the pursuit, according to the sheriff's office.

Once the vehicle was stopped, Jayce Daimon Billips, 22, and Sede Kenyon Baker, 23, both of Baltimore, were identified as the vehicle's occupants and were detained at the scene. Additional deputies were dispatched to assist with the investigation and recovered the black iPhone, money and controlled substances from the two suspects. While canvassing the route of the pursuit, deputies found a small blue bag containing a handgun.
Billips and Baker are both being held without bond after an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner.
