Arson Suspected in Joppa Park and Ride Blaze: Fire Marshal
The Office of the State Fire Marshal was called to the scene of a suspected vehicle arson in Joppa Wednesday morning.

JOPPA, MD — A vehicle fire that broke out in the Joppa Park and Ride early Wednesday morning is being investigated as an arson.
At 12:49 a.m., a passerby noticed the 1995 Chevrolet pickup truck was ablaze in the lot off Interstate 95, according to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
Four Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company firefighters brought the fire under control within 10 minutes, the fire marshal reported.

Investigation revealed that the fire began in the passenger area and was believed to have been intentionally set, according to the fire marshal. The blaze caused $1,000 in damage.
