Auditions for The Nutcracker Scheduled August 13 at the Amoss Center

Harford Community College’s Harford Dance Theatre will hold auditions on Saturday, August 13, for male and female dancers and actors ages 8 through adult for the company’s annual production of the holiday classic, The Nutcracker. Auditions will be held in the Amoss Center Dance Studio on the campus of Harford Technical High School. Please enter through the side loading dock doors. Dancers ages 8 to adult should wear appropriate dance wear such as leotards, tights, solid color skirt/shorts; bring all dance shoes to the audition. Please note: Dancers must be currently enrolled in a ballet class to audition.

The performance dates for The Nutcracker are December 2-4. The show will be directed by McKenzie Horseman.

The Nutcracker audition schedule for Saturday, August 13, follows:

Dancers ages 8 through 13 with a minimum of one year of dance training:
Registration: 9 a.m./Audition: 9:30-10:30 a.m.

Dancers ages 12 and up, with a minimum of three years of dance training:
Registration: 10 a.m./Audition/Class: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m./Call-backs 1-2 p.m., if needed

Adult Actors/Dancers ages 16 and up:
Registration: 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
There will be no formal dance audition for this audition group.
