Bank Robbed in Abingdon, Suspect Info Wanted: Sheriff

The M&T Bank was robbed Friday afternoon, the Harford County Sheriff's Office reports.

ABINGDON, MD — A bank was robbed in Abingdon Friday afternoon, and the Harford County Sheriff's Office is asking for tips to help identify the suspect.

The robbery at the M&T Bank on Box Ridge Drive was reported at 12:48 p.m.

The suspect went up to the teller, acted as though he had a weapon and demanded money, according to the sheriff's office. The teller gave him an undisclosed amount of cash, and then the suspect left on foot, headed in the direction of MD 924.

The suspect was described as a man in his early 20s who was approximately 5'7" to 6' tall.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call Detective Seth Culver of the Harford County Sheriff's Office at 443-409-3498.

A cash reward of up to $2,000 is being offered for information. To be eligible, tipsters must use one of the following methods for submitting tips: text the tip to Metro Crime Stoppers at 274637 with “MCS” plus the message; call Harford Crime Solvers at 1-888-540-8477; or submit tips online.
