Barn Destroyed By Fire In North Harford, Officials Say
A fire on Conowingo Road Monday night completely destroyed one structure, according to the fire marshal.

STREET, MD — Fire in north Harford completely destroyed one structure and all that was inside it on Monday night, officials said. The blaze was ruled accidental, according to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
A passerby noticed the fire in the 3200 block of Conowingo Road at 7:39 p.m. on Monday and notified authorities.
Within 15 minutes, firefighters from the Darlington Volunteer Fire Company had brought it under control.

Additional crews from surrounding fire companies also battled the barn fire, according to Jenn Chenworth, spokeswoman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.
The 40-by-20-foot wood frame pole structure was a total loss, the fire marshal reported. It was estimated to be $40,000.

Approximately $10,000 worth of items inside, including three Zero Turn riding mowers, were lost as well, the fire marshal reported.
The fire started inside the structure, where hot exhaust had ignited combustible objects nearby, officials said.
