Two roads are impacted, according to Kahler:

If people are seeking shelter, the sheriff’s office said they may go to the Abingdon Library.

“While we do not believe there is a greater safety threat to the community, we believe he may be armed and are responding out of an abundance of caution...” Kahler said. “We are asking residents to avoid the area.”

Authorities say they believe the man is alone at the home.
