Basketball: Harford Tech Girls, Fallston Boys, Win Easy

The two teams played makeup games Wednesday night. C. Milton Wright fell on Monday.

Fallston 63 ELKTON 35 Boys

The Cougars trounced the Golden Elks in a makeup game from Tuesday's school closures. Tyler Smith led the Cougars with 20 points while Garrett Fender notched a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

The Cougars led 33–17 at the half.

Harford Tech 54 EDGEWOOD 38 Girls

The Cobras continued their dominant run through the UCBAC with a makeup from Tuesday. Allanah Galloway led Harford Tech with 17 points to go with six rebounds and four assists. Maria Kalambihis also had 17 points to go with four steals.

Brittany Chavis and Ashley Frazier both had 12 rebounds and narrowly missed a double-double. Chavis scored nine points and Frazier eight.

The Cobras led 26–13 at halftime and are scheduled to host Havre de Grace at 7 p.m. Thursday.

ELKTON 53 C. Milton Wright 48 Boys from Monday

Chris Bays led all scorers with 18 points, but it was not enough to overcome the Golden Elks. The Mustangs led by as much as nine in the third, but Elkton went on a 7–0 run to close the quarter.

"I got to find a way to get these guys over the hump more consistently," head coach Chad Richie wrote in an e-mail.

Nas Scott had 13 points and Bryce Monroe 10 for the Mustangs, who were tied with the Golden Elks at 25 at the half.

The Mustangs travel to Aberdeen at 7 p.m. Friday.
