Zeus Left In Harford County Animal Shelter Nearly 1 Year Needs Forever Home

It's been 329 days that Zeus has sat at the Harford County animal shelter waiting and wondering when he'll get his forever home.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Almost one year ago, Zeus was found tied to a pole with a letter from his owner, who said he was homeless and couldn't care for Zeus any longer. He begged whoever found Zeus and his letter to take good care of his boy.

Zeus was taken to The Humane Society of Harford County, where he has waited and waited for his forever home. Staff adores him and spends ample time playing with him, walking him and loving on him for a whole 329 days.

It's time for someone to step up and take Zeus home and love him, shelter leaders say.

"Zeus loves to cuddle and play and has lots of energy. He's still got some puppy habits due to being in the shelter for so long, but is overall a very sweet boy. Not to mention one good-looking dog. He knows basic commands and would benefit greatly from a family who is willing to work with him because he can be a focused, fast learner. Don't expect to take him swimming or boating though. Our boy Zeus is afraid of the water," the shelter noted.

Zeus was two when he arrived at the shelter and is almost three. Shelter staff ask that someone scoop him up and take him home before he spends almost a full year in the shelter. Anyone interested in meeting Zeus needs to fill out an adoption questionnaire.
