Bel Air 2017 Official Election Results
Two commissioner seats were on the ballot; check the results from the 2017 town of Bel Air municipal election.

BEL AIR, MD — The polls have closed in the town of Bel Air, where another Election Day is in the books. The winners of the 2017 race for town commissioner are Patrick T. Richards and Amy G. Chmielweski.
Following a canvass on Thursday for provisional and absentee ballots, the election results have been finalized.
There were 370 ballots cast, out of 7,459 registered voters, according to the Bel Air Director of Administration and Town Clerk Michael Krantz. That means 4.96 percent of registered voters turned out to vote.

Here are the final results from the 2017 municipal election, according to Krantz:
Patrick T. Richards: 264 votes
Amy G. Chmielewski: 160 votes
Michael D. Kutcher: 121 votes
Christopher J. Jordan: 115 votes

Four absentee ballots were received, and there were seven provisional ballots, according to Krantz.
Previous report: Preliminary results are in, indicating that incumbent Patrick T. Richards will keep his seat on the board of town commissioners.
The Bel Air Board of Election Judges will conduct a canvass for absentee and provisional ballots, after which the official results will be announced.
There were two commissioner positions open. Here are the unofficial results, according to Director of Administration and Town Clerk Michael L. Krantz:
- Patrick T. Richards: 262 votes
- Amy G. Chmielewski: 158 votes
- Michael D. Kutcher: 119 votes
- Christopher J. Jordan: 115 Votes
The canvasses will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 9, Krantz said.
