Bel Air Bobcats Win State Baseball Title

COLLEGE PARK, MD – The Bobcats earned their third state title after beating out the Cougars, 8-1, Friday night in the class 4A baseball championship.

Six of the Bobcats' eight runs came in the sixth inning.

Bel Air entered the game after a series of shutouts, defeating the Howard Lions, 3-0, in the 4A north regional tournament and clobbering the Bowie Bulldogs, 8-0, in the state semifinals.

The Quince Orchard Cougars "just couldn't get it done as a team in the end," Cougar Kyle Rinehimer told The Washington Post.
