Bel Air Christmas Parade Now in 25th Year

The annual Bel Air holiday parade is coming up, and there’s one more reason to celebrate—Sunday’s will be the 25th Bel Air Christmas Parade in the town’s history.
The town of Bel Air and the Downtown Bel Air Alliance are co-producing the milestone event, according to a statement the Bel Air Christmas Celebration provided to The Dagger.
Here’s the schedule for the parade on Sunday, Dec. 7, according to the town of Bel Air:

2:45 p.m.—Concert on Main Street in front of courthouse. The band performing is Route 66, The Dagger reported.
3:30 p.m.—Parade begins on Main Street at Churchville Road. The parade—including floats, school marching bands, Santa, costumed characters, dancers and many more—will travel down Main Street, ending at Lee Way near Shamrock Park. This year will feature more costumed characters, including Minions, Frozen stars, Super Mario and Catwoman, among others, The Dagger reported.

4:15 p.m.—Following the parade, Santa Claus will greet children at Shamrock Park, where there will be a bonfire and sing-along accompanied by free hot chocolate and cookies.
5 p.m.—Tree lighting in Shamrock Park with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
If there is bad weather, the event will be cancelled; there will be no makeup date.
