Home near Reckord Road was engulfed in flames Sunday afternoon, fire companies reported.

Approximately 50 firefighters from Harford and Baltimore counties battled a house fire in Fallston Sunday afternoon, officials said.
When crews arrived, the home in the 2900 block of Beechwood Lane was completely engulfed by flames, the Fallston Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Company said.
Originally reported at 12:58 p.m. on Sunday, the fire was declared under control by 2:20 p.m., according to Rich Gardiner, spokesman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.

It was not immediately available whether anyone was home at the time of the fire.
About 30 emergency vehicles responded to the scene, including a host of tanker trucks hauling water, as there were no fire hydrants in the area, Gardiner said. Crews used the nearby Fallston Mall as a water source to battle the fire, according to Gardiner.
