Bel Air Firefighters Come To The Rescue Off Macphail Road
Rescuers from Bel Air saved a man stuck in rough terrain Monday.

BEL AIR, MD — A man was rescued from the woods off East Macphail Road Monday, according to the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company. He sustained minor injuries, officials said.
Crews were called to the wooded area near Macphail Woods Crossing around 3:30 p.m., according to Rich Gardiner of the fire company. The area is off East Macphail Road near the Overlook at MacPhail Woods, a 55-plus condominium community.
Firefighters worked for about 20 minutes to free the man, who was caught in rough terrain, Gardiner said.

Once they got the man out, crews said they used a gator to get him safely from the area.
The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries, according to Gardiner.
