Bel Air Fourth of July Parade Organizers Say Some Spots Remain

Scouts, equestrian groups, comic/novelty acts and patriotic paraders are specifically in demand, committee reports.

The Bel Air Fourth of July Committee has spots available for groups or organizations that want to march or enter floats in the town’s annual parade.

The deadline to apply is Monday, June 15; find the application here.

“We particularly are looking for scouting groups,” Parade Chair Michael Blum said. “Getting together and marching or riding in the Bel Air July 4th Parade is a great way to keep a troop going over the summer!”

Equestrian groups, comic/novelty acts and patriotic-themed participants are also wanted.

The theme of the 2015 parade is “An Olde-Fashioned Fourth of July.”

The parade will begin at 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 4.

Bands, scout troops, churches, civic groups, clubs, individuals and businesses who want to participate in the parade must submit applications by Monday, June 15.
