Bel Air Home Invasion Injures 2, Official Says

Officials say a home invasion in Bel Air is under investigation.

BEL AIR, MD — Two people were injured in a reported home invasion Monday night in Bel Air. Both are expected to survive their injuries, and officials say Tuesday afternoon they are still conducting interviews related to the investigation.

Deputies were called to the 1800 block of Still Pond Way at 8:25 p.m. for a reported home invasion, according to Kyle Andersen, spokesman for the Harford County Sheriff's Office.

Two people received medical attention once officers arrived, he reported.

One was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center for treatment of injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening, according to Andersen.

A second person was treated for minor injuries at the residence, he said.

"While the motive of this crime is still under investigation, crimes like this are rarely random in nature," Andersen said.
