Bel Air Home to Most Overdoses in Harford: Sheriff
Heroin overdoses are on the rise, and the Harford County sheriff says the bulk are in the Bel Air zip code.

BEL AIR, MD – The numbers have changed again outside the Harford County Sheriff's Office, where officials have been tallying heroin overdoses in an effort to raise awareness about the drug that is taking lives countywide.
Heroin has caused 84 overdoses, 10 of them fatal, in Harford County so far this year as of Monday, May 9, according to Cristie Kahler, spokeswoman for the Harford County Sheriff's Office.
The majority of overdoses occur in the residence of the addict, according to Kahler, who said some have taken place in businesses like Walmart and Wawa.

Heroin overdoses in Harford County are concentrated in the Bel Air zip code, according to the sheriff, who has been tracking the locations of both fatal and nonfatal overdoses on a map.
"...It's in every community in Harford County," Sheriff Jeffrey Gahler told WBAL, "and anyone who does not think so is being naive."
