Bel Air House Fire Causes $25,000 In Damage
Fire broke out at a home in Bel Air Wednesday night that took 20 minutes to control, according to the fire marshal.
BEL AIR, MD — A chimney fire broke out Wednesday night at a Bel Air home in the Village of Thomas Run, according to officials. Investigators have ruled the blaze accidental.
A neighbor discovered the fire in the 1800 block of Wye Mills Lane at 9:58 p.m., officials reported. The smoke alarm had not gone off because the fire started in the attic, investigators said; it began in the chimney.
About 30 firefighters from the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company responded and brought the blaze under control in about 20 minutes, according to the fire marshal.
