Bel Air Man Arrested In Ocean City With Knife: Report
Police in Ocean City reportedly pulled over a Bel Air man recently and found the status of his license was not the only thing questionable.

OCEAN CITY, MD — A Bel Air man was arrested in Ocean City this week for having a deadly weapon after an encounter that began over child support, according to The Dispatch. The Harford County man had been driving on 120th Street when a license plate reader showed his license had been suspended due to failure to pay child support, the Ocean City-based newspaper reported.
The state of Maryland can suspend license privileges if child support has been unpaid for more than 60 days.
When an officer pulled him over, the driver told police that the child support had been taken out of his last paycheck. During the stop, the officer allegedly smelled marijuana and conducted a search of his vehicle. Police found a knife with 12-inch blade that the man said was for landscaping and camping; since the knife was within the driver's grasp next to his seat and police found neither landscaping nor camping gear in the vehicle, The Dispatch reported he was charged with concealing a deadly weapon.
