Bel Air Man Charged in Pill Theft from Pharmacy
A 25-year-old is accused of smashing his way into a drugstore and stealing $11,000 worth of pills, the Bel Air Police Department reported.

Bel Air, MD — A Bel Air man is charged in connection with crimes related to a pharmacy in town, the Bel Air Police Department reported.
Aaron Sawicki, 25, of the 100 block of Briarcliff Lane, is charged with second-degree burglary; theft from $10,000 to $100,000; theft from $1,000 to $10,000; malicious destruction of property greater than $1,000; and possession with intent to distribute prescription pills.
Officials said they responded to the Atwood Professional Center in the 600 block of South Atwood Road in Bel Air for a reported burglary in progress at the pharmacy at 5 a.m. on Thursday, July 14.

When officers arrived, they took Sawicki into custody in the driveway of the building, police said.
He allegedly shattered the glass part of the door to the pharmacy to get inside, where he is accused of stealing $11,000 of prescription medications and more than $500 in cash, according to police.

Sawicki is being held at the Harford County Detention Center on $25,000 bond, police said.
