Bel Air Man Faces 6 Child Pornography Charges

State police say a search of the man's home in Bel Air Monday led to charges.

BEL AIR, MD – A Bel Air man was charged with possessing and distributing child pornography after authorities searched his home Monday, according to Maryland State Police.

James Allen Zornes, 51, of the 300 block of Kenmore Avenue in Bel Air, was identified in November 2015 as potentially involved in online distribution of child pornography, police said.

State troopers investigated and obtained a search and seizure warrant.

After executing the warrant at Zornes’ home on Monday, authorities said they seized evidence containing multiple digital images of child pornography.

Zornes was charged with three counts of child pornography distribution and three counts of child pornography possession, police said.

Police reported Zornes was taken to Harford County Central Booking and was awaiting an appearance before the commissioner.

Officials said the Bel Air Police Department, Department of Homeland Security, Maryland State Police’s Bel Air Barrack and the Maryland State Police Computer Crimes Unit participated in serving the warrant.
