BEL AIR, MD — The town of Bel Air canceled its Memorial Day ceremony and is holding a moment of silence instead.

At noon on Monday, May 25, all are invited to join together in a moment of silence to pay tribute to those military service members who lost their lives.

Last year was the town's 35th anniversary of its Memorial Day ceremony, held at Shamrock Park.

Current social distancing guidelines in Maryland prohibit gatherings of more than 10 people.

The American Legion Post 39 plans to hold a live-streamed event for Memorial Day on its Facebook page, The Aegis reported.
