Bel Air Motorcyclist Dies, Passenger Injured In Crash: Police

Police said a Harford County motorcyclist died and his passenger was injured Sunday afternoon in a crash in Baltimore County.

CARNEY, MD — A Harford County man died in a motorcycle crash Sunday afternoon in Carney as he was trying to pass another vehicle, according to police. The motorcyclist was thrown from his bike and so was his passenger, who is hospitalized, officials said.

Bryan Eric Yarworth Sr., 62, of the 1600 block of Dogwood Lane in Bel Air, was pronounced deceased at the scene, police said. His passenger was taken to a local hospital with injuries authorities said were life-threatening.

Based on the preliminary investigation, police said Yarworth's motorcycle was headed north on Harford Road when it crashed into the passenger side of a Dodge Durango that was headed east at East Joppa Road and Harford Road at 3:04 p.m. Sunday.

Both the driver and the passenger of the Dodge Durango were uninjured and stayed at the crash site, according to police.

Officials said they were still investigating the crash as of Monday afternoon.
