BEL AIR, MD — There is something to do for everyone on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day in Bel Air. Parties, countdowns, a holiday open house and other activities are planned.

Anita Leight Estuary Center has a holiday open house planned from 12:30-4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 31. A naturalist will be there for the drop-in program, which is free.

Black-Eyed Suzie's is offering a New Year's Eve prix-fixed dinner; $35 per person or $60 for two. Seatings are from 5-9 p.m. Menu items will be paired with selections from Union Craft Brewing.

Humagalas has a prix-fixed menu for $40 a person that includes a glass of wine. The dinner is from 6-9 p.m. Those who make reservations before Dec. 30 will receive a $10 gift card good on the next visit. There will be a champagne toast at midnight.

Island Spice is holding a "Dress to Impress" event where people are invited to wear their best outfit to dinner. All tickets will be pre-sold; there are no walk-ins taken at the door. Tickets are $20 per couple in the dining room and $30 per couple at the bar. There will be a DJ, complimentary hors d'oeuvres and a champagne toast at midnight.

Looney's Pub presents live music from Bad with Names and Vertigo Red and offers a free breakfast buffet and champagne toast. Tickets are $20 in advance and $50 at the door.

MaGerk's New Year's Eve countdown party features an all-you-can-drink menu that includes party favors and a champagne toast at midnight; top shelf and shots are not included in the drink offerings. Tickets are $45 in advance and $50 at the door. The party, featuring a DJ, is from 9 p.m. to midnight.

Main Street Tower hosts a New Year's Eve bash with live music and dinner seating starting at 4 p.m. An all-you-can-eat buffet with open bar starts at 7 p.m. and costs $60 per person. There will be a free champagne toast at midnight, free breakfast buffet, complimentary party favors as well as shuttle service.

Rocks State Park First Day Hike is part of the Maryland Park Service's "First Day Hikes" program that encourages Marylanders to take a hike to kick off the new year. The Rocks State Park event is described as an easy to moderate 1-mile round-trip hike for families. Participants will hike to Kilgore Falls. It will begin at 11:30 a.m. on New Year's Day. Meet at the Falling Branch parking area, 1026 Falling Branch Road, Pylesville, MD 21132. Dress appropriately for the weather and bring water. Leashed dogs are welcome.

Why you should watch: Remember last year's infamous Mariah Carey mic incident? Yes, it happened on Seacrest's watch. So if that's any indication, this could be a good one to tune in to. And even if there aren't any crazy celebrity snafus, you can count on inside views of Time Square packed with people, as well as awesome musical performances.

"New Year's Eve Live" With Anderson Cooper And Andy Cohen
Where to catch it: CNN starting at 8 p.m.
Why you should watch: For the first time ever, Anderson Cooper will host CNN's annual New Year's Eve Live special with none other than "Watch What Happens Live" host Andy Cohen. As these two are best friends in real life, you can expect tons witty banter and hilarious moments from the pair.
