Bel Air Policeman Named Maryland's Top Cop
A police officer from Bel Air was given the distinction as Maryland's top cop for 2017.

OCEAN CITY, MD — A Bel Air police officer was named the state's "Top Cop" Tuesday by a state association. The Maryland Municipal League Police Executive Association selected the law enforcement officer for the honor for extraordinary performance, including saving two lives, in 2017.
In one case, Officer First Class Frank Graziano started CPR to revive the victim of a heart attack.
In another, Graziano led a family to safety from a house fire, according to the Bel Air Police Department.

Graziano received the award during the Maryland Municipal League's summer conference in Ocean City, which is June 10 to June 13.
The director of the governor's office of homeland security also presented Graziano with a governor's citation, on behalf of Gov. Larry Hogan, for the officer's extraordinary performance.
