Bel Air Quilter Wins Award

BEL AIR, MD — A Bel Air woman was recognized for her quilting prowess recently. Suzette Coppage was one of more than 400 quilters whose creations were featured at Quilt Week, an event organized by the American Quilter's Society in Spring Paducah, Kentucky.

Coppage was awarded second place for her piece entitled "Sailing Under Watchful Eyes." It was categorized as a small quilt.

Quilts from around the globe were featured at the show, which ran from April 18 to April 21 and celebrated the artistry of quilt-makers.

The event featured a quilt competition, exhibition and workshops.
