UPDATE: Bel Air Santa Stroll Canceled on Saturday
Vagabond Sandwich Company and MaGerk's had planned the first annual Santa Stroll in downtown Bel Air.

UPDATE (11 a.m.) — The inaugural Bel Air Santa Stroll has been canceled due to icy conditions.
"Roads are nasty, sidewalks are ice and the last thing the emergency services needs is for a bunch of people falling all over the streets!" the Vagabond Sandwich Company, which was sponsoring the event, posted on Facebook Saturday morning. Harford County was under a winter storm warning until 1 p.m. for sleet and freezing rain. Vagabond thanked those who had contributed donations toward the event.
The Santa Stroll was intended to raise funds for Make-a-Wish Mid-Atlantic. People can still contribute even if they will not be strolling around Bel Air in their Santa hats on Saturday.

BEL AIR, MD — This weekend downtown Bel Air will be teeming with Santas. The first annual Downtown Bel Air Santa Stroll is slated for Saturday.
People dressed as Santa will walk from the Vagabond Sandwich Company to MaGerks, where they will be able to take advantage of food and drink specials. The event is rain or shine and raises money for Make-a-Wish Mid-Atlantic.
"Bel Air is a small town, and it has a lot within walking distance, so I figured I could start this thing...for what I think is an awesome cause," Ben Meyer, owner of Vagabond Sandwich Company, told Patch.
He selected Make-a-Wish Mid-Atlantic, he said, because "I like to donate to things where $2,000 makes a huge difference."
Meyer said he was inspired by Walk a Mile in Her Shoes, a fundraiser that takes place in the spring to benefit SARC.
All are welcome to attend the first annual Santa Stroll. Participants should meet outside Vagabond at noon, where there will be coffee and a Make-a-Wish banner. Then together they will walk down Bond Street to Main Street, looping around to MaGerk's on Bond.
Donate to the Santa Stroll for Make-a-Wish Foundation.
The Downtown Bel Air Santa Stroll is slated for noon on Saturday, Dec. 17.
