Officials issued a new call for assistance this week, this time from those who may have connections in the Philadelphia area.

The suspect tried to use credit cards stolen from Bel Air in the western Philadelphia suburbs of Upper Darby, Media and Glenolden, according to Harford County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Cristie Kahler.

"If you have friends in the Philly area, ask them to help us spread the word and bring justice to our senior residents!" the sheriff's office said in a statement.

According to Kahler, Delaware State Police are investigating a case that is believed to involve the same suspect in Wilmington, Delaware.

A string of burglaries was reported on Saturday, July 1, at an assisted living facility in Wilmington, Delaware, in which the suspect followed a woman inside around 3 p.m. then stole jewelry, cash, credit cards and keepsakes from unlocked rooms, according to Delaware State Police.

When he entered rooms that were occupied, the suspect identified himself as a flower delivery person and as an employee, Delaware police said in a statement.

Officials said he used credit cards stolen from the assisted living facility in Wilmington, Delaware, at stores in Media and Glenolden, Pennsylvania.

Delaware police said the suspect was wearing a long-sleeved blue shirt with the words "Dayton Fliers" that bore a University of Dayton emblem, and he was driving a small white passenger car.
