Bel Air To Set Hearings About Water Rate
There will be no public testimony about the requested water rate increase; the meeting is to discuss prospective hearing dates.

From The Maryland Public Service Commission: The Maryland Public Service Commission has scheduled a Pre-Hearing Conference pertaining to the Maryland American Water Company Rate Case for Friday, August 10, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the PSC Hearing Room, St. Paul Street, in Baltimore.
The purpose of the pre-hearing is not to take public testimony regarding the requested rate increase; but to discuss the prospective date(s) for public hearings for proposed rate increases as well as other legal issues.
Officials for the Town of Bel Air are following these proceedings closely and will inform the citizens of the Town of any future dates for the public hearing(s). Questions or concerns regarding the hearings may be directed to the Town Administrator, Jesse Bane. He can be reached by telephone at 410 638-4550; by way of email at jbane@belairmd.org; or in person at Town Hall between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM. It is suggested, if a member of the Town would choose to meet with him personally, that you call ahead of time to schedule an appointment.
