Bel Air Town Run 2016: Road Closures, Timing

BEL AIR, MD – Get ready, get set. The Bel Air Town Run will take off at 8 a.m. on Sunday, June 5.

The race begins on Main Street and courses around town to finish near Lee Way. Registration will take place at Shamrock Park.

The town run is a 5K, and for those looking for an abbreviated version, there's a 1-mile fun run.

The Bel Air Police Department advised there will be multiple road closures for approximately 90 minutes around the race. Police said drivers should anticipate delays and/or closures on these roads:

• Main Street
• Broadway
• Hickory Avenue
• North Shamrock
• Troutdale Terrace
• Majors Choice Drive
• Benjamin Road
• Lee Way
• Connector roads linked to those listed above

The course starts on Main Street near Office Street and will continue down Broadway to Shamrock to Troutdale Terrace to Troutdale Place to Major's Choice to Shamrock to Benjamin to Broadway to Ardmore to Lee Way. The finish line is on Lee Way.

Participants may not bring strollers or pets on the course, and the use of headphones is discouraged.

Registration is required and closes 15 minutes before the race starts. Race-day registration opens at Shamrock Park from 6:30 and runs to 7:45 a.m.
