Bel Air Turkey Trot 2014 Registration is Open
The Thanksgiving Day 5K in Bel Air benefits children whose families can't afford preschool, camp.

The Turkey Trot Charity 5K in Bel Air is approaching, presenting an opportunity to burn off calories Thanksgiving morning and, at the same time, raise money for those in need.
Proceeds from the event—which includes a 5K run and a 5K walk around the MA & PA Trail in Bel Air—will benefit children whose families can’t afford educational and enrichment opportunities, such as Y Preschool and Camp.
All participants receive a free month of membership to the Y for the month of December if they are not members and have not been members in the last 60 days.

Online registration is available through Monday, Nov. 24. In-person registration at Y of Central Maryland locations is open through Wednesday, Nov. 26. Day-of registration is also available.
Children under 5 are free, and those between 6 and 17 years are half-price. Adult registration is $30 for untimed participation and $32 for timed participation. Dogs that are socialized are welcome to attend, and strollers are allowed.

The 5K will take place at 8:30 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day—Thursday, Nov. 27. The run starts on Williams Street at West Broadway in Bel Air. The walk starts on the MA & PA Trail at Ellendale Street. Both the run and walk end on the MA & PA Trail at Ellendale Street.
