Bel Air Turkey Trot 2019: Route, Registration
The Y in Bel Air is holding its annual Thanksgiving Turkey Trot for the 2019 holiday.
BEL AIR, MD — On your mark, get set ... The annual Turkey Trot 5K is planned for Thanksgiving morning in Bel Air. It is a rain or shine event, so before loading up on turkey, families can get outside and get moving.
Participants may walk or run the 3.1-mile course, which starts and ends on Williams Street by the Ma & Pa Trail.
Dogs may attend, and pooches who register in advance get a complimentary bandanna. Strollers are also welcome.

Proceeds from the event go toward financial aid for youths who live at or below the poverty level.
Turkey Trot participants do not have to be current members of the Y. If not a member, registration grants a 30-day free membership.

Registration is from $5 to $45, based on age. For those who register online before 8 p.m. on Nov. 25, the cost is $5 for those 6 and under; $25 for children ages 7 to 17; and $45 for adults. Dogs who register for $15 will get a bandanna. Dogs do not have to register.

Sponsored by the Y of Central Maryland, the Turkey Trot 5K will provide financial aid for youths who live at or below the poverty level.
