Bel Air Wawa Celebrates Grand Reopening

BEL AIR, MD — The Bel Air Wawa is reopening. The store had undergone a total remodel that required a five-week closure, according to a statement from the company. The store reopened at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 7.

Wawa, which is in the process of remodeling 75 stores as part of a chain-wide initiative, puts more than $1 million into each store that it is updating.

Customers will notice a new layout as well as new lighting, flooring, tile, graphics, exterior and signage at the Wawa at 601 Hoagie Drive north of Bel Air.

The Wawa also expanded its menu to include hand-spun milkshakes and custom salads.

"We thank our customers for their patience while their Bel Air Wawa was renovated," Wawa Director of Store Operations Adam Schall Sr. said in a statement. "After seeing all the changes we made, we think customers will be very excited to see how we transformed their Wawa. At the same time, what won’t change is our wonderful Wawa associates."

Added Schall: "We’re all excited to welcome back our wonderful customers to our new and greatly improved Wawa store!"

To celebrate the reopening, Wawa is offering these deals from Monday, Nov. 12, to Wednesday, Nov. 14:

• Free coffee of any size
• $0.89 cent fountain drink or Icee of any size
• $2.99 for any Shorti Hoagie
• $4.99 for any custom salad

Samples of new products and "in-store excitement" are also planned, officials said.

"This effort is extremely meaningful to all of us at Wawa, as it will enable us to share the most up-to-date Wawa brand features and new product platforms with the Bel Air community," Schall said in a statement. "Through this remodel, we will enhance the customer and associate experience in our store to provide the most fulfilling Wawa experience yet."
