Bel Air Welcomes 2 New Police Officers
The newest officers with the Bel Air Police Department come with experience from law enforcement agencies in Baltimore, Cecil, Harford.
BEL AIR, MD — Two new officers have joined the ranks of the Bel Air Police Department, officials said Tuesday.
One has background with three police departments, while the other hails from the Harford County Sheriff's Office.
Office Keith Smithson joined Bel Air after several years as an officer with the Baltimore Police Department and the Cecil County Sheriff's Office, according to a statement from the Bel Air Police Department, which said that he also worked part-time for Bel Air as a dispatcher.

Officer Logan Walsh came from the Harford County Sheriff's Office, where his father works; his father used to be with the Bel Air Police Department, but joined the sheriff's office in the 1980s, officials said.
"Congratulations to our two newest officers!" the Bel Air Police Department posted Tuesday on Facebook.
