Bel Air Woman Stabbed at Aberdeen Travelodge: Police
Officials said the suspect was in custody.

A Havre de Grace woman has been charged with attempted murder, among other offenses, in connection with a stabbing Wednesday night that sent a Bel Air woman to shock trauma, according to police.
Natasha Vargas, 23, was arguing with the 39-year-old Bel Air woman at the Aberdeen Travelodge in the 800 block of West Bel Avenue when things got violent , the Aberdeen Police Department reported.
At 10:47 p.m., police responded to the motel and found the Bel Air woman had been stabbed in the abdomen, according to police.

Aberdeen Fire Department paramedics stabilized the victim and took her to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where she was listed in stable condition Thursday morning, police said.
Police said officials developed a suspect and suspect vehicle description based on witness interviews, and in short order, Havre de Grace police conducted a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Pulaski Highway and took the suspect into custody.

Vargas, of the 700 block of Pulaski Highway in Havre de Grace, has been charged with attempted murder as well as first and second-degree assault, police said.
