Bel Air Wrestler Wins Second State Title

Sophomore Brent Lorin now has a record of 90-0.

BEL AIR, MD — A wrestler from Bel Air High School held onto his record of being undefeated after winning his second state title over the weekend.

Brent Lorin, who weighs 113 pounds, won 3-2 at the state championships and now has a record of 90-0, according to Bel Air High School wrestling.

The match proved more difficult than Lorin expected, he told The Aegis.

"I thought I would dominate" right out of the gate, "...but that's not what happened," Lorin told the newspaper.

Still, he said he met his expectations for the match, which was held Saturday in Upper Marlboro.

Last year, as a freshman, Lorin won the state title when he was 106 pounds in a 4-2 victory, according to Bel Air Wrestling.
