Bicycle Lanes Shut Down On Saturdays Across Hatem Bridge For Painting Project
The bicycle lanes across Hatem Bridge will be shut down on Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. so crews can paint the bridge.
HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Bicyclists will not be able to travel on the Thomas J. Hatem Memorial Bridge (US 40) when temporary lane closures are enacted while the bridge is being painted. One travel lane will remain open in each direction during the closures.
During the first phase of the project, lane closures are scheduled for Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. All lanes will be open Sundays to allow for bicyclists, officials noted.
The project is expected to wrap up by May 2026.
