Motorcyclist Killed After Missing Turn, Hitting Sign And Utility Pole: MD State Police
A 41-year-old motorcyclist was killed after Maryland State Police say he missed a turn, hit a road sign and then a utility pole.
HARFORD COUNTY, MD — A motorcyclist from Jarrettsville traveling with other motorcyclists died Monday night after he missed a turn, veered off the road, hit a road sign and then a utility pole.
Samuel McNutt III, 41, was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident happened around 6:30 p.m. in the 4200 block of Norrisville Road. McNutt was driving a 2016 Harley-Davidson motorcycle southbound when police say he failed to negotiate a left turn in the road, ran off the road, hit a road sign and then a utility pole, according to Maryland State Police.
Norrisville Road was closed for several hours. The Maryland State Police Crash Team is leading the investigation.
