Blaze At Joppatowne High School Sparks Investigation By State Fire Marshal

A fire broke out at Joppatowne High School Tuesday afternoon shortly before dismissal. All students and staff safely evacuated.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — A fire broke out Tuesday afternoon before dismissal at Joppatowne High School.

Crews from the Joppa Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company were called to Joppatowne High School at approximately 2 p.m. on Tuesday. Students and staff were safely evacuated.

Fire sprinklers helped combat most of the flames but smoke filled the building, the fire department reported.
