Book Drive Benefits Harford County Kids
Kids in Foster Care receive books because of community donors.

Books change lives! They promote self-confidence, allow us to experience empathy, provide us with knowledge and joy! All kids should be able to take pride in book ownership. In that vein, the 2nd Annual Book Drive to benefit children in foster care in Harford County was held in the fall of 2016. The generosity of the following community members, in collaboration with Maryland Foster Parent Association, Harford County Inc., Harford County Department of Social Services and Usborne Books & More allowed each of the nearly 200 children currently in foster care in Harford County to receive a new book. The children received their books at the annual Christmas party held December 3, 2016.
