Boys Basketball: Over-lea Excited; Fallston Wins Second Game

Fallston moved to 2–0 with a win at Overlea on Wednesday.

Fallston won 63–41 in a matchup at Overlea on Wednesday night.

The victory against the Falcons moved the Cougars to 2-0 after . 

Fallston led the game from the beginning as Tyler Smith had another strong night, making multiple 3-pointers in the first half. Smith ended up as the leading scorer with 28 points.

Garrett Fender added 10 points for the visitors, while Grant Kelly and Tyler Constantine each had nine. Fender led the team with 10 rebouds and Kelly had five assists.

"I think we stayed composed against their pressure and stuck to our offense well," Fallston head coach Mark Hannahs said. "They also had a lot of fouls against them, but that happens when you play an aggressive man-to-man defense. I think playing zone worked well against them."

"We just kept pushing up the court, and I think we held them to a decent amount on defense," Smith said.

Fallston plays at home against Patterson Mill on Friday.

"We've really got to bring it against Patterson Mill. We've got one more game this week, then two next week—I want to be five and oh," Smith said.
